Broke’n – Broken and Broke
How do you reach a woman that is broken? she asked. I said, “You don’t unless she wants to fix it”. That was me 8 years ago, “broken” and “broke”.
Like a wild horse being tamed, I was broken mentally, physically and financially. Struggling in an abusive relationship and my life was almost extinguished by this man I called my boyfriend.
He was supposed to love me and take care of me, that was the promise. In 2008 with the down turn in the economy.
I lost everything, all my investments, all my income as a mortgage broker, which led to losing my phone, car and checking account.
Having to move far away from friends and family (support), I ended up a lost soul that was taken advantage of for his guilty pleasure.
My confidence smashed… how do you turn it around?
• Hindsight is 20/20!
• Had I realized what was happening maybe I could have made different life choices.
How many times have you said that to yourself?
I was able to turn it around because I found my WHY (my son). As I’ve said before, if your WHY is strong enough, you can do anything.
I’m now clear that my “mess” is my “message” that I want to share. My life is meant to be a learning lesson for not just me, but for many. That it is possible to get out of any situation you don’t want to be in, you have a choice when you are ready.
As with being “broken”, being “broke” and building wealth seems impossible at first.
How do I get there?
What strategy do I do?
Why does it seem so easy for others and not me?
When you say you are “broke” it is just temporary. So long as you are not poor there is hope and I can work with that.
Finances are not easy, especially when making investments. I went from beyond broke, not even affording a bottle of water, to building a community of hundreds of like-minded people that supported and collaborated with me helping to get me right out of my hole.
I put my blinders on and my first year I did $3.5 million in real estate and since then have trained nationwide students to do the same. Saving homes from foreclosure, eliminating mortgages and building portfolios (cashflow). I became the rock that I needed for others to succeed.
No longer broke or broken. Being financially independent (wealthy) feels sexy and helps me to stand tall with confidence.
I invite you to reach out and find what courage you need to move the dial in your life, find that extra gear and as my mentor says, stop under indexing your life.
I now have the confidence and the knowledge to support others in a path to be financially independent and build wealth, so they have the confidence and feel sexy too!
