I want to relate my personal experience with BHRT. It all started a few years back, when one evening before bed I couldn’t go to sleep. I laid there mind running, churning, thinking and most of all, stressing. This stress was due to the anxiety I was experiencing. I was anxious over almost everything, you name it, and then I started being anxious over dying. The next night the same thing and it continued for a few weeks and I knew there was something wrong. That was it. It was too weird and I couldn’t stop.
I was anxious over almost everything
At the time I was on a weight loss program prescribed by my doctor, and at the time I had lost 20 pounds. I was feeling trim but super edgy emotionally. I was going in for my weekly appointment and to share my experiences with him and he suggested that I might want to try Bio Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) I said “Wow that sounds amazing, tell me more!” He went on and told me all the wonderful utopian benefits. So, I stopped him and asked, “Now tell me the side effects, there always is.”
BHRT might help with fatigue and chronic lack of energy
I am not a fan of pharmaceuticals, and in that case, BHRT was not going to fly with me. My doctor told me it was not synthetic pharmaceuticals and assured me it would only enhance my well being and life. In fact, it was Bio Identical. What is that? He went on to explain the details.
I then remembered hearing Madonna was doing HRT (not sure what type) or if it was BHRT and I said “sounds great, let I’ll give it a try.” So, I came back the following week to get my insertion and the week before I looked and looked to see if there were any studies showing the downside or side effects. I could find nothing.
Two years later and I feel wonderful, full of energy, and the anxiety stopped
Here I am two years later and I feel wonderful, full of energy, and the anxiety stopped (that first week, actually).
Also, my slight depression went away and honestly I feel I have the energy of a 25-30 year old.
I am so grateful for our time that we live in and that this option that was affordable for me and Not just Madonna!
If you are having any of these issues and you are between 45- 60 you should give yourself a break and have a doctor check into your hormone levels – you might love it. It provided me more confidence and freedom than I ever would have anticipated. As woman in our early years we are dealing with the pain of monthly menstrual cycle, families, possibly raising children, or having a career shift, etc. It almost feels unfair going through one more painful hormone shift into fatigue, insomnia, anxiety and most of all, no sex drive. Just seems unfair but now you can have it all back but with no monthly cramps and freedom!
BHRT may help to regain balance in your life
There are a variety of symptoms from hormone imbalance in women including:
Decreased energy and increased fatigue
Increased irritability, loss of motivation, and depression
Low libido, inability to achieve sexual gratification
Vaginal dryness and pain with intercourse
Difficulty losing weight or unanticipated weight gain
Diminished mental focus, “foggy thinking” and memory loss
Hot flashes and night sweats
Cold hands and feet
BHRT may also help to prevent diseases including:
Cardiovascular disease (heart attacks and strokes)
Cholesterol abnormalities
Osteoporosis
Alzheimer’s dementia
Type II diabetes and other insulin resistance syndromes
FYI:
The endocrine system is a series of glands that produce and discrete hormones throughout the body. Did you know that hormones do a lot more than regulate mood and sexuality? They determine whether you will be at risk for diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis, Alzheimer’s, and thyroid disease.

What type of BHRT? I see “insertion”—is it an implant?
Hi Carol,
So sorry for the very very late reply. Here is the info and yet it is insertion.
